Getting to Villa Lungomonte

Smaller airport, so there might be fewer flights / more expensive to fly directly into Pisa.

FCO is the largest airport in Italy, so more likely to find frequent, direct flights into Rome.

or
1 hour drive to the villa
FLR is also a smaller airport, but often has direct-flight options and more frequent flights than PSA.

~3 hour train from Milan to Pisa.
or
4 hour drive to the villa

STEP 2: PISA TO VILLA LUNGOMONTE
Taking a taxi is the simplest option. If you're flying into Pisa, there is a taxi stand you can easily get a taxi from. Otherwise, it's highly recommended to download and set up the app called 'appTaxi', which lets you request a taxi to your location just like an Uber. We had no trouble using this to get to the villa from Pisa, and the trip was less than 25€.
There is also a bus that runs from Pisa to Asciano Pisano, but it doesn't run super frequently and we haven't tried it. We hope to have more details surrounding the bus system in the future.
If you're staying in Lucca, you can take a taxi to and from the villa, but expect it to be closer to 70€ per trip. We recommend taking the ~30min train from Lucca to Pisa for around 4€, then calling a taxi from the Pisa train station.
